Get started: Search by
Region, Facility or Park.  

Reservations are accepted within 90 days of arrival. Custer accepts reservations starting January 2 for the entire year. All Campsites are First Come First Served from Oct 11, 2010 to May 19, 2011.

NOTICE: Sites may be unavailable due to wet conditions

Some parks may have campsites that are unavailable for reservation in the early part of summer due to wet conditions from winter snowmelt. Sites will be opened for reservations as conditions allow.

 

If the campsite you¿ve reserved becomes inaccessible or affected for any reason throughout the summer, you will be contacted through the reservation call center by phone or via email as soon as possible. Please be sure your contact information is current so you can be reached in a timely manner.

 

 

A park entrance fee is required in additon to your camping fee.

What you need to know:

  • Pending reservations are held in your shopping cart for a maximum of 20 minutes. After 20 minutes, your unreserved selection will be released.
  • The name, address and phone number of the responsible party for each reserved facility.
  • You cannot change or transfer reservations online. Make changes by calling 1-800-710-CAMP (2267).
  • Reservations that were made online may be canceled by logging on to My Account.
  • Full payment is expected at the time the reservation is made. You will need to provide a valid credit card. South Dakota accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover. Gift cards are accepted through call center and park only.

Alerts:
Firewood from another state may contain the Emerald Ash Borer, which could be harmful to trees in this state. To help contain these destructive pests, we ask that you please leave out-of-state wood at home. Firewood is available for purchase at the parks.

Computer Requirements:

  • For security reasons, Microsoft Internet Explorer, Version 4.5 or higher or Netscape Navigator, Version 4.05 or higher must be used to make a reservation.
  • Make sure that browser supports Cookies and Javascript  are enabled.
  • The reservation Web site uses advanced scripting. If you cannot use this scripting, please call toll-free 1-800-710-2267 to make your reservation.
